This authentic hand-painted papyrus depicts Ra, the ancient Egyptian sun god and supreme creator. Recognized by his falcon head crowned with the solar disk, Ra symbolizes the eternal cycle of life, light, and rebirth. He was believed to sail across the sky each day, bringing light to the world, and to journey through the underworld at night to rise again at dawn.
In Egyptian spirituality, Ra embodies creation, divine authority, renewal, and protection. He represents the life force that sustains all beings and the cosmic order that keeps balance in the universe.
Papyrus was the first paper created by the ancient Egyptians, crafted from the Cyperus papyrus plant of the Nile. Today, artisans in Egypt continue to preserve this millenary tradition. Each piece is hand-painted, unique, and includes a certificate of authenticity.
